✨Happy New Year 2018!!!✨
“And after you have suffered a little while the God of all grace who has called you to His eternal glory in Christ will himself restore, confirm, strengthen & establish you.” (1 Peter 5–10)
This is the verse I read tonight at 10:30 PM as I got home, got in my comfy PJ’s and decided to spend the end of my night and year with Jesus and it was so fitting and so comforting.
The devotional ended with writing an honest letter to God giving Him my heartbreaks. (Shout out to Gracelaced for such a beautiful devotional for the year) Could this not be more perfectly orchestrated for the last devotional I do in 2017?
After I poured my heartbreaks out to God, ending with, “I wonder if my life will ever be put back together again…” I followed with the good that God always brings out of the breaking.
“But at the same time, I’ve never felt my heart so put back together again, with you as the glue. Instead of my idols and my worldly securities, I just have You and have found that you are all that I need.
So I lay down the mistakes, the failures, the shame, the hurts, and the many fears. I entrust them to you. I rejoice in your comfort, your presence, and your peace. This new year, I pray for more of You Jesus. AMEN”
That’s what I hope for me this year, and for you! More of Jesus to pour out His Love and ignite our hearts anew. Audacious, vibrant, bold love for 2018.
❤️ Xo Love you guys and I’m so grateful for your friendships and support this year!
